Vested Remit is an international money transfer service that allows you to send money abroad for purposes such as education, maintenance of relatives, travel, health, gift and self-transfer in a fast, secure and cost-effective way.

Which countries can I transfer money to using Vested Remit?
Currently, Vested Remit supports transfers to more than 30 countries. These include the USA, Canada, Singapore and European countries. The supported currencies are USD, CAD, SGD and EUR respectively.
Why should I choose Vested Remit over banks and other money transfer services?
Vested Remit charges zero fixed fees and offers one of the best exchange rates. In contrast, banks and other money transfer services charge anywhere between INR 500 to INR 1500 as fixed fees and charge a high markup of 3% to 4%. Is KYC mandatory to use Remit?
Yes. Regulations require us to verify the identity of each user making a remittance via Vested Remit.
What documents are required for KYC?
No physical documents are required to complete your KYC. The process is 100% digital. We require your mobile number, PAN and Aadhaar Number for verification.
I am unable to complete my KYC. What should I do?

Why do I need to create a Vested Direct account for self-transfers to my foreign bank account?
Self-transfer to foreign bank accounts are Capital account transactions under the RBI’s Liberalized Remittance Scheme and require the creation of a Vested Direct account. The process is 100% digital and can be completed in less than 5 mins. Moreover, there is no minimum balance requirement or fees charged for creating the account.

I am already a Vested user. Do I need to sign up again?
No. You can use your existing Vested account credentials to login and use Vested Remit.
What are the transaction limits under Vested Remit?
The Standard Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS) limit of USD 250,000 in a financial year applies with the following sub-limits per transaction:
- Maintenance of relatives – USD 50 to USD 25,000
- Education – USD 50 to USD 25,000
- Travel – USD 50 to USD 5,000
- Health – USD 50 to USD 25,000
- Gift/Donations – USD 50 to USD 5000
- Self-transfer – USD 50 to USD 25,000
What is the minimum I can transfer with Vested Remit in a single transaction?
The minimum amount that can be transferred using Vested Remit in a single transaction is USD 50 or the equivalent currency.
What is the maximum I can transfer with Vested Remit in a single transaction?
The maximum amount that can be transferred using Vested Remit in a single transaction depends on the chosen purpose. Refer to the transaction limits question for more details.
What are the fees involved with Vested Remit transactions?
Vested Remit has zero fixed fees (in comparison, traditional banks charge anywhere between INR 500 to INR 1500 flat fee per transaction). We do charge a markup over the exchange rate but it is one of the lowest in the industry
What payment methods does Vested Remit support?
Vested Remit supports Netbanking and UPI (up to INR 1 lakh per transaction) as modes of payment.
What are SWIFT, ACH and IBAN codes?
- A SWIFT Code is a unique identification code for financial and non-financial institutions.
- An ACH Code is a routing code used in the United States to identify the financial institution in which it is drawn.
- The IBAN Number is an international system of identifying bank accounts across national borders to facilitate the communication and processing of cross-border transactions.
How long does it take for funds to be transferred to the beneficiary’s account?
Funds sent using Vested Remit will typically take 12-36 hours post-approval to get deposited in the beneficiary’s account. This excludes bank holidays and weekends
What’s the fastest way to send money using Vested Remit?
The fastest way to send money using Vested Remit is to initiate a transaction before 2 PM IST (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
Can I track the status of my transfer?
Yes. At Vested, we believe in complete transparency. You can track the status of your transfer real-time through the Transaction History section on the homepage.
Is there anything I can do to make the transfer quick?
Yes. Please make sure you submit correct and non-blurry supporting documents immediately after making a transaction. This would help us reduce the overall processing time. Our customer service team is available via chat and whatsapp to help you with your transaction, please reach out to them in case you need help placing a transaction.
Is Vested Remit safe?
Vested Remit has partnered with SBM India, an RBI-regulated bank for the money transfer service. We follow rigorous verification procedures and keep your funds safe and traceable. Vested has processed more than USD 200 million in money transfers to date.
Are INR payments made through Vested Remit secure?
We use Razorpay, one of India’s leading payment gateways for processing payments. Payments made through Vested Remit are completely secure and compliant.
What happens to my money if I am not able to share the requested documents?
Your money will get refunded back to you within 7 business days.
Why do I need to verify my bank account before making a payment?
For compliance reasons, we need to verify if the funds are being transferred from the remitter’s account. Please note that this is a one-time process and not required for subsequent transactions.
What are the documents required for Vested Remit transactions?
- Maintenance of relatives- Proof of relationship as applicable
- Education – University Admission Letter (Loan Disbursal Letter if source of funds is Education loan)
- Travel – Travel documents (Tickets/Hotel receipts)
- Health – Medical invoice
- Gift/Donations – Reason for gifting
- Self-transfer – 12-month bank statement or ITR

Are Vested Remit transactions subject to TCS (Tax Collected at Source)?
Yes. A 5% TCS will apply to all remittances over INR 7 lakhs as per the revised Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS). A 0.5% TCS will apply if the purpose is education and the source of funds is an educational loan.
Will I come to know about the TCS amount before making a transaction?
Yes. The applicable TCS will be shown upfront in the Transfer Amount section. At Vested, we believe in complete transparency.
What is an A2 form? Is it important?
A2 form is a FEMA declaration cum application for the purchase of foreign exchange for remittance purposes. It can be accessed through the Declaration
section of the app. We suggest you save the A2 form every time for tax purposes.
