The post Microsoft Goes Down But Crypto Doesn’t Care appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com . While outages are reported across industries, crypto websites and blockchains are up and running. A bug found in widely used cybersecurity platform Crowdstrike has caused major outages in Windows operating systems which has led to disruptions in the airline, health, banking, and communications industry. The cryptocurrency industry, however, has remained unfazed. All major networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana among others are not reporting any disruptions, and continue with 100% uptime in the production of new blocks. Additionally, crypto websites, which are notorious for suffering downtimes during widespread market volatility have also continued operating without issues. According to DownDetector, users have not reported any problems at websites like Coinbase, Crypto.com, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, and others. Robinhood is the only platform which is showing signs of disruption, although the company’s crypto offerings might not be affected.

What happened to Microsoft outage? CrowdStrike, a leading American cybersecurity software company, is in the spotlight due to a faulty update that has caused massive disruptions in Windows systems worldwide. This event has been dubbed a “global IT blackout” and primarily affects Mexico City International Airport (AICM) in Mexico. Despite its reputation as a security solutions provider for large organizations, including banks and airlines, the company has faced controversies in the past. In 2014, a group of hackers exploited a vulnerability in CrowdStrike’s software to access confidential data from Sony Pictures, including employee personal information, emails, salary data, and unreleased movies. Despite this incident, CrowdStrike has maintained its position as a security provider for numerous major companies, such as Aena, Visa, and Repsol. Microsoft outage: Who is behind CrowdStrike? Founded in 2012 by George Kurtz, a former McAfee employee, CrowdStrike has grown to become a leading provider of security software.
Dividend aristocrats attract many income investors who want to receive steady cash flow from their investments. High yields and consistent dividend hikes allow investors to cash in on their investments without selling shares. Some people build up large enough dividend portfolios to the point where dividends cover their living expenses. While it’s possible to generate high yields with current dividend aristocrats, investors may realize higher long-term returns by prioritizing future dividend aristocrats. Before we identify future dividend aristocrats, it’s important to determine what qualifies as a dividend aristocrat. These aristocrats are publicly traded corporations that have raised their dividends for at least 25 consecutive years. If a company halts or reduces its quarterly dividend payouts, it’s no longer a dividend aristocrat. Furthermore, a company that doesn’t raise its dividend over the past year loses its status. These three corporations look likely to becoming future dividend aristocrats and can reward long-term investors with capital gains and cash flow.
A widespread Microsoft outage was disrupting flights, banks, media outlets and companies around the world on Friday. Escalating disruptions continued hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing an issue affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services. The website DownDectector, which tracks user-reported internet outages, recorded growing outages in services at Visa, ADT security and Amazon, and airlines including American Airlines and Delta. On Friday, computers across the country began shutting down with multiple workers reporting issues at multiple different businesses. The issue comes from a “bluescreen error” which is a result of a Crowdstrike outage, with servers and devices getting stuck in “boot loops”. The IT issue has affected multiple countries including New Zealand, Japan, India, the US and the United Kingdom. Multiple businesses have been affected including media organisations such as News Corp’s global operations, the ABC, SBS, Channel 7, Channel 9, and Network 10.
The fintech industry has shown its resilience even in tough times. Despite an uncertain economy, a high inflationary environment and a long period of low consumer spending, financial companies have stood strong. This industry still hasn’t peaked. With the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and new technologies, the scope of fintech stocks room to run continues to expand. Besides tech, I believe the fintech industry has shown tremendous growth over the past year. Adding fintech stocks to your portfolio can be a smart way to make the most of the industry’s growth. I’ve identified three companies that are enjoying strong momentum and will be an ideal addition to your portfolio this month. WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — A widespread Microsoft outage was disrupting flights, banks, media outlets and companies around the world on Friday. News outlets in Australia reported that airlines, telecommunications providers and banks, and media broadcasters were disrupted as they lost access to computer systems. Some New Zealand banks said they were also offline. Microsoft 365 posted on X that the company was “working on rerouting the impacted traffic to alternate systems to alleviate impact in a more expedient fashion” and that they were “observing a positive trend in service availability.” The company did not respond to a request for comment.
