The post Microsoft Goes Down But Crypto Doesn’t Care appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com . While outages are reported across industries, crypto websites and blockchains are up and running. A bug found in widely used cybersecurity platform Crowdstrike has caused major outages in Windows operating systems which has led to disruptions in the airline, health, banking, and communications industry. The cryptocurrency industry, however, has remained unfazed. All major networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana among others are not reporting any disruptions, and continue with 100% uptime in the production of new blocks. Additionally, crypto websites, which are notorious for suffering downtimes during widespread market volatility have also continued operating without issues. According to DownDetector, users have not reported any problems at websites like Coinbase, Crypto.com, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, and others. Robinhood is the only platform which is showing signs of disruption, although the company’s crypto offerings might not be affected.

Microsoft is currently in the headlines for all the wrong reasons after a global outage of its applications and services shook the entire world. Passengers were left stranded at airports, banks and stock markets came to a halt, while everything else was in pandemonium. Now, experts are saying that the CrowdStrike issue due to which everything transpired, would take weeks to fix.
The tech titan is still profiting from the growth of the cloud and AI markets.
In a 1995 interview with tech journalist Bob Cringely, Mr Jobs said that Microsoft lacks originality and taste in their products.
The issue with the update released by CrowdStrike, impacting computers using Microsoft''s Windows operating system, was clarified by CrowdStrike as not sa hacking incident or cyberattack. CrowdStrike apologised for the issue and assured users that a solution was being prepared. Although not all users utilise CrowdStrike''s Falcon platform, it is a prominent cybersecurity provider, especially in critical sectors like transportation, healthcare, and banking, where system reliability is paramount.

As the world recovers from the largest IT outage in history, it shows the danger of one point of failure in IT infrastructure A global IT failure wreaked havoc on Friday, grounding flights and disrupting everything from hospitals to government agencies. Over all the chaos hung a question: how did a flawed update to Microsoft Windows software bring large swaths of society to a screeching halt? The problem originated with an Austin-based cybersecurity firm called CrowdStrike, relied upon by most of the global technology industry, including Microsoft, for its Falcon program that blocks the execution of malware and cyber-attacks. Falcon protects devices by securing access to a wide range of internal systems and automatically updating its defenses – a level of integration that means if Falcon falters, the computer is close behind. After CrowdStrike updated Falcon on Thursday night, Microsoft systems and Windows PCs were hit with a “blue screen of death” and rendered unusable as they were trapped in a recovery boot loop.
Microsoft outage has served as timely warning about the importance of cyber security in today''s technology-driven world.
