Dividend Center and Dividend Reinvestments are now live on Vested

When I look at portfolios on Vested today, one thing is clear. They have grown meaningfully over the last few years. And as portfolio sizes increased, dividends stopped being a rounding error and started becoming a real part of overall returns.

Say, a portfolio of around $9,000 earning a 3% dividend yield generates close to $270 a year. At $20,000, that number moves closer to $600. For long-term investors, this income compounds and becomes material over time.

But the way dividend income is managed has not kept up.

As portfolios grow, dividend income becomes more frequent and more fragmented. Payouts arrive across holdings and dates, often with fractional values. Without a single place to see this clearly, understanding annual income typically requires manual effort beyond the investing platform.

As portfolios became larger and more deliberate, it felt important to make dividend management clearer, simpler, and built directly into the investing experience.

That is what led us to build the Dividend Center and the Dividend Reinvestments.

Bringing all things dividend into one place

Once dividend income becomes meaningful, visibility starts to matter.

As investors, we should be able to see what our portfolios generate, what has already been paid out, and what is expected next, without having to rely on statements or manual tracking outside the platform.

That is what the Dividend Center is designed to do.

It brings all dividend-related information across your stocks and ETFs into a single view inside the app. Instead of treating dividends as one-off transactions, it helps you see them as a steady stream of income linked to your portfolio.

From the Dividend Center, you can:

  • View upcoming dividends and expected payment dates
  • See your complete dividend history across holdings
  • Track dividend yield and annualized income estimates
  • Accurately track dividends on fractional shares
  • Understand the tax treatment for your dividend income

This makes it easier to answer practical questions that start to matter as portfolios grow. How much income does my portfolio generate in a year. Which holdings contribute most to that income. And how that income evolves over time.

The goal is to make dividend income easier to understand, easier to track, and easier to plan around as part of your overall investing journey.

Letting dividends compound automatically

For many of us, dividends work best when they are put back to work.

Manually reinvesting dividends every quarter sounds simple in theory, but in practice it often gets delayed or overlooked. Amounts can be small, markets may be closed, or it just becomes another task to remember. Over time, those missed reinvestments add up.

The Dividend Reinvestments feature is designed to remove that friction.

When enabled, dividends received from a stock or ETF are automatically reinvested into the same instrument. This happens after the dividend is credited, without requiring any manual action.

With the Dividend Reinvestment feature:

  • Dividends are automatically reinvested instead of being paid out as cash
  • Fractional shares are supported, so the full amount net of withholding tax is put to work
  • Reinvestment happens without minimums, commissions, or additional fees
  • Each reinvestment is clearly tagged in your transaction history

You can enable or disable the Dividend Reinvestment feature at:

  • A portfolio level, if you prefer a consistent approach
  • Or at an individual stock or ETF level, if you want more control

This allows you to decide where you want regular income and where you want long-term compounding, all within the same portfolio.

Getting started

To explore these features:

  • Open the Vested app
  • Go to Profile → Dividends
  • From here, you will be able to see the Dividend Centre available to you

However, the Dividend Reinvestment feature is available to Premium subscribers.

If you are not a Premium subscriber, you will see the option to upgrade from your profile. Once you upgrade, you can activate these features directly from the app.

If you are already a Premium subscriber, you can enable the Dividend Reinvestments from:

  • Your portfolio settings, or
  • Individual stock or ETF settings

We hope this makes managing dividend income simpler as your portfolio grows, and gives you more control over how that income is used over time.
