With geopolitical flashpoints poised to worsen, investors ought to target stocks to buy for global conflict. I don’t look at this theme as advantaging tragedies. Rather, it’s a matter of sensibly adjusting one’s portfolio to reflect rapidly shifting realities. Yes, the headlines have been focused on the Middle East. The tit-for-tat missile attacks that Iran and Israel have launched against each other have rattled nerves. While the current media response from both sides suggest a collective effort to cool tensions, a miscalculation could easily spiral circumstances out of control. However, the big issue in my opinion is the U.S. House of Representatives passing $61 billion in aid to Ukraine . That sends a clear message to Russia’s Vladimir Putin that the U.S. and western forces will continue to support the embattled nation. Having no off-ramp (because the government didn’t take it earlier in the conflict), the Russians will continue their belligerence. With that in mind, investors need to get serious about these stocks to buy for global conflict.
Cue the "Terminator" references. AeroVironment now has AI-powered military drones.
Though the artificial intelligence craze (AI) is slowing somewhat, there’s no doubt that advanced computing and AI-style offerings will continue driving innovation and market gains for years. But, though top AI stocks gather the most media and market attention, overlooked AI stocks are slowly building a foundation for rapid future growth. Finding these overlooked AI stocks tends to be tricky. They aren’t as “AI first” as most popular companies tend to be, i.e., they won’t plaster AI labels and jargon across their entire product or service line, whether or not the designation truly applies – just look at Amazon’s (NASDAQ: AMZN ) ongoing “ Just Walk Out ” AI-meets-outsourced staff debacle. These three stocks represent the wider overlooked AI market, and their quiet innovation today could set the stage for a massive upside tomorrow. Reddit (RDDT) Source: Poetra.RH / Shutterstock.com Though inarguably overvalued today, Reddit (NYSE: RDDT ) has latent and overlooked AI potential from an unexpected place: training and feeder information.
Sales are surging as the company''s drones prove their value.
Drone stocks are set to surge with the market forecast to soar at a huge compound annual growth rate of 22% between now and 2032. By the end of that period, the market is expected to be valued at $82.9 billion. Among the factors fueling increases in the demand for drones in recent years is the war in Ukraine, in which both sides are extensively using drones. According to one estimate, military drones account for 50% of America’s total drone market. The only way to obtain a great deal of exposure to military drones via American stocks is through buying the shares of firms that specialize in making them. But, given the large and rapidly growing extent to which armies are buying and utilizing drones, I believe that these drone stocks will prove to be lucrative for long-term investors. AeroVironment (AVAV) Source: Pavel Kapysh / Shutterstock.com The largest seller of drones to America’s military, AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV ) also market “suicide drones” that are being used by Ukraine for kamikaze missions against the Russian military.
Even with the wider market rebound, Cathie Wood hasn’t quite recaptured her initial investment allure. Her flagship fund, the ARK Innovation ETF (NYSEARCA: ARKK ), remains a full two-thirds below its 2021 highs. Of course, ARKK and other funds debuted during a unique confluence of favorable conditions for growth stocks , including low interest rates, a surge in digitization, the frenzy around SPACs, and an expanding retail investor base. This has led to this list of undervalued Cathie Wood stocks. That isn’t to say Cathie Wood didn’t nail some stock picks. Look to her early Palantir (NYSE: PLTR ) projections, for example. Likewise, these undervalued Cathie Wood stocks stand out among her many picks as those most likely to rebound – soon and aggressively. Crispr Therapeutics (CRSP) Source: Supavadee butradee / Shutterstock.com Crispr Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CRSP ) stands at the forefront of next-generation healthcare stocks , with its gene-editing potential being a major indicator of its undervalued potential.
