Nuveen S&P 500 Buy-Write Income Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek attractive total return with less volatility than the S&P 500 Index. Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in a diversified equity portfolio made up of securities comprising the S&P 500 Index (or securities that have economic characteristics that are similar to those securities comprising the S&P 500 Index) that seeks to substantially replicate's price movements of the S&P 500 Index and is designed to support the Fund’s option strategy. The Fund invests in various sectors, including automobiles and components, capital goods, consumer staples distribution and retail, financial services, health care equipment and services, household and personal products, insurance, media and entertainment, and others.
