PGIM High Yield Bond Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its investable assets in a diversified portfolio of high yield fixed income instruments that are rated below investment grade with varying maturities and other investments (including derivatives) with similar economic characteristics. Under normal market conditions, the Fund may invest up to 20% of its investable assets in United States currency denominated and/or foreign currency denominated fixed income instruments issued by foreign issuers. The Fund may invest in issuers who are in default at the time of purchase. The Fund invests in various industries, which include telecommunications, oil and gas, affiliated mutual funds, commercial services, home builders, and others.
