Nuveen Core Equity Alpha Fund (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment fund. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide an attractive level of total return. It seeks to achieve its investment objective primarily through long term capital appreciation and secondarily through income and gains. Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in the equity portfolio. It invests in a portfolio of actively managed large capitalization U.S. common stocks, using the sub-adviser’s proprietary quantitative process designed to provide the potential for long-term outperformance (the equity portfolio). It may invest up to 10% of is managed assets in securities of other open- or closed-end investment companies (including ETFs) that invest primarily in securities of the types in which the Fund may invest directly.
