About MFS GOVT MARKETS INC TRUST, ETF

MFS Government Markets Income Trust (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek high current income but may also consider capital appreciation. The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, including borrowings for investment purposes, in the United States and foreign government securities. The Fund may invest its assets in other types of debt instruments. The Fund invests substantially all of its assets in investment grade quality debt instruments. The Fund invests its assets across different countries and regions, but it may invest a significant percentage of the fund's assets in issuers in a single country or region. The principal investment types in which the Fund may invest are debt instruments, United States government securities, foreign government securities, securitized instruments, and corporate bonds, among others. Massachusetts Financial Services Company is the investment advisor of the Fund. more
