Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Dividend Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of after-tax total return consisting primarily of tax-advantaged dividend income and capital appreciation. It pursues its objective by investing primarily in dividend-paying common and preferred stocks. In addition to investing in stocks that pay tax-advantaged dividends, it may also invest a portion of its assets in stocks and other securities (including preferred stocks, hybrid securities, bonds) that generate fully taxable ordinary income (income other than tax-advantaged dividends). The Fund may invest in common and preferred stocks of both domestic and foreign issuers. Preferred stocks may include other hybrid securities. It can invest up to 10% of its net assets in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest primarily in preferred stocks. Eaton Vance Management serves as the investment adviser of the Fund. more
