BlackRock MuniYield Quality Fund III, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide shareholders with as high a level of current income exempt from U.S. federal income taxes. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its assets in municipal obligations exempt from U.S. federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the U.S. federal alternative minimum tax). The Fund may invest up to 20% of its managed assets in securities that are rated below investment grade. The Fund may invest directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as state tax-backed, transportation, local tax-backed, utilities, school districts, health, education, tobacco, housing and others.
