Nuveen AMT-Free Municipal Credit Income Fund is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objectives are to provide current income exempt from regular federal income tax and federal alternative minimum tax applicable to individuals, and to enhance portfolio value relative to the municipal bond market by investing in tax-exempt municipal bonds. The Fund, as a fundamental investment policy, under normal circumstances, invest at least 80% of its assets in municipal securities and other related investments, the income from which is exempt from regular federal income taxes. The Fund, as a non-fundamental investment policy, under normal circumstances, invests 100% of its managed assets and at least 80% of its assets in municipal securities and other related investments, the income from which is also exempt from the federal alternative minimum tax applicable to individuals at the time of purchase.
