Vested Finance has been one of the leaders of US stock investing in India for several years – now, we’re excited to announce that we’re taking our platform global. With this expansion, we are rebranding our company and changing our URL from vested.co.in to vestedfinance.com.
Many of you know that we are one of the leading US stock applications in India. But in reality, users from more than 30 countries use Vested to follow the US markets and to invest in US stocks.
What does this mean for you? Well, to begin with, anyone who lives anywhere in the world (where US investing is supported) can now open an account.
- Our KYC and AML system supports the onboarding of global users. Most account application is approved within minutes
- When you open an account, the correct tax forms (called the W8-BEN form) are automatically filled out with your information and tax residency. This informs our system and the US tax authority (the IRS) that you are not a US resident, and therefore, the correct tax withholdings can be arranged. To read more about how taxes would work if you are investing in US stocks from India, please visit this page
- Once your account is opened, you must fund it before you can begin investing, Investing in the US means investing with US dollars. For example: if you live in India, you must remit Indian rupees (INR) and deposit US dollars in your vested Investment account. You can do this using your bank account in India (such as ICICI, HDFC, or Axis Bank). If you live in another country, you can use your local bank and carry out international wire transfers to deposit US dollars. Be mindful that your bank may charge you transaction fees.
Once your account is funded, you can invest in stocks such as Apple, Amazon, Google, and Tesla right from your phone or laptop. All it takes is a few minutes of your time.
We have also upgraded our platform to make it faster, more secure, more useful, and easier to use:
- With a revamped user interface, users will find the investing process simpler
- With a new Content feature, users can easily learn about the US market and follow the latest macroeconomic developments
- With Vested’s Reward program, users can earn cash for every friend they refer refer
We are now available on both iOS and Android so that you can invest in US stocks anytime, anywhere!

Our team members at Vested may own investments in some of the aforementioned companies/assets. Different types of investments involve varying degrees of risk, and there can be no assurance that any specific investment or strategy will be suitable or profitable for an investor’s portfolio. Note that past performance is not indicative of future returns. Investing in the stock market carries risk; the value of your investment can go up, or down, returning less than your original investment. Tax laws are subject to change and may vary depending on your circumstances.
