Templeton Emerging Markets Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets in emerging country equity securities. The Fund's investment strategy employs a bottom-up, research-driven approach focused on identifying long-term earnings power at a discount to intrinsic value. The Fund invests in various geographical regions, such as Asia, Latin America and Caribbean, North America, Europe, and Middle East and Africa. The Fund invests in various countries, including China, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Brazil, United States, Thailand, Mexico, Hong Kong and United Kingdom. The Fund has invested in various companies, such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co.
