Voya Emerging Markets High Dividend Equity Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is total return through a combination of current income, capital gains and capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing primarily in dividend-producing equity securities of issuers located in emerging markets. The Fund also sells call options on selected exchange traded funds (ETFs) and/or international, regional or country indices of equity securities, and/or on equity securities. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in dividend-producing equity securities of, or derivatives having economic characteristics similar to the equity securities of, issuers in emerging markets.
