Nuveen Real Estate Income Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is high current income and capital appreciation. The Fund, under normal market conditions, invests at least 90% of its total assets in income-producing common stocks, preferred stocks, convertible securities and debt securities issued by real estate companies. At least 75% of the Fund's managed assets will be in securities rated investment grade. The Fund uses leverage. The Fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in income producing equity securities issued by real estate investment trusts, excluding convertible securities. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in debt securities, including convertible debt securities, issued or guaranteed by real estate companies. The Fund does not invest more than 10% of its total assets in the securities of any one issuer. The Fund's investment adviser is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC. more
