High Income Securities Fund (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek to provide shareholders with high current income. The Fund will invest primarily in income producing or dividend paying United States (U.S.) and non-U.S. investments, such as investment grade and below investment grade (high yield/high risk) debt securities, fixed or variable rate income securities, real estate investment trusts (REITs), convertible securities, preferred stocks, and dividend-paying common stocks, and securities or other assets that the Adviser reasonably expects to lead to a liquidity event such as a self-tender offer, merger or liquidation, including a transaction with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The Fund’s investments may be indirect through investments in entities such as real estate investment trusts (REITs), closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and business development companies (BDCs). more
