abrdn World Healthcare Fund (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek current income and long-term capital appreciation. The Fund invests primarily in equity and debt securities of public and private United States and non-United States companies. Under normal market conditions, the Fund expects to invest at least 80% of its Managed Assets in the United States and non-United States companies engaged in the healthcare industry (Healthcare Companies), including equity securities and debt securities. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 40% of its managed assets in companies organized or located outside the United States or companies that do a substantial amount of business outside the United States.
