FY 2025–26 Tax Documents are now available

Filing taxes for global investments in India comes with a lot of moving parts. Schedule FA, Schedule FSI, Form 67, Schedule TR, foreign income disclosures, currency conversions, and statements across platforms all need to come together correctly.

Over the last few months, we have been working on making this process more seamless for investors on Vested. That work is now live for FY 2025-26.

Your Tax Documents are now available in the Vested app, covering every global investing product you invest in through Vested. And if you prefer a more guided filing experience, you can now file your ITR directly through our ClearTax integration, along with an exclusive offer for Vested users.

Here is everything you need to know.

What’s new in FY 2025–26 Tax Documents

Three things have changed this year.

  1. Coverage across every Vested product: Earlier, tax documents primarily covered U.S. stocks and ETFs. This year, the coverage extends across your full Vested portfolio — including US Stocks, US ETFs, Global Funds (UCITS), Private Markets, and Managed Portfolios. As more investors started using multiple products on Vested, the tax experience needed to reflect that as well.
  2. Expanded Schedule FA support: Schedule FA now includes dedicated sheets for Global Funds and Private Market investments alongside direct US equity holdings. So if you hold UCITS funds or have invested through SPVs on Vested, the disclosures are now structured in the format the ITR expects. That includes details many investors usually end up searching for manually, such as asset categorisation, reporting structure, and valuation-related fields.
  3. One-click filing through ClearTax: You can now move from tax documents to ITR filing directly through our ClearTax integration, with support across all Vested asset classes, including US Stocks, ETFs, Managed Portfolios, Private Markets, and Global Funds (UCITS). No manual data entry or re-entering information across platforms. We will explain this flow in more detail below.

What each document is and where it’s used in your ITR

Here’s a full walkthrough of every document you’ll find in the Tax Documents section, and exactly where each one feeds into your ITR:

A closer look at Schedule FA

Schedule FA deserves special attention because it is one of the most important disclosures for resident Indians investing globally.

This is the section where foreign assets held during the financial year need to be reported. The disclosure requirement applies even if the asset did not generate any income. For example, a US stock bought and sold within the same year still needs to appear in Schedule FA.

Given the level of detail expected and the implications of missing disclosures, we spent additional effort this year ensuring that every supported Vested product maps cleanly into the Schedule FA structure expected in the ITR.

The Schedule FA file available on Vested now contains four dedicated sheets:

Status What it covers Vested products mapped
Foreign Equity and Debt Interest (Table A3) Existing Direct holdings in foreign listed entities US Stocks, US ETFs, (New) Global Funds
Foreign Custodial Accounts (Table A2) New Details of cash income and overall account value, including cash and equity US Stocks, US ETFs, (New) Global Funds
Private Markets (Table B) New SPV-based foreign investments Private Market deals
User Details Existing PAN, financial year, and account-related information

Whether you file taxes yourself or work with a CA, the idea is to make the disclosure process significantly more structured and easier to reconcile.

File your ITR in 3 minutes with ClearTax exclusively for Vested users

For investors who prefer a more guided filing experience, Vested now integrates directly with ClearTax, allowing you to move from tax documents to ITR filing in a single flow.

Here is how it works:

  1. Open the Tax Documents section inside the Vested app
  2. Click File with ClearTax
  3. Log in to ClearTax using your registered email address
  4. Your Vested tax data gets auto-imported into the filing flow

    • Self-filing, with guided step-by-step support
    • Expert-assisted filing, where a ClearTax tax expert handles the filing for you

The biggest advantage of the integration is that it removes the need to manually enter line-item data such as:

  • Capital gains across multiple securities
  • Dividend transactions
  • Foreign tax withheld
  • Income and tax figures across schedules

Instead of manually copying numbers across statements and forms, your Vested data flows directly into the filing journey.

Vested users will also see an exclusive offer during the ClearTax checkout flow. Use code CTVESTED to get up to 70% off on your tax filing.

A note on tax advice

These documents are provided for informational purposes and are based on transaction data with Vested. They are not tax advice. Tax laws change, individual situations vary, and edge cases exist. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax or accounting advisor while filing your ITR particularly if you have a complex tax situation, are an NRI, or are filing for the first time as a global investor.
